Kunzang Gyatso Bhutia holds the significant role of President in the 7th Core Team. He is also the President of the Sikkim Mountaineering Association (SMA). Notably, he is celebrated as the second Sikkimese person to conquer Mount Everest in 2008, and the first from the Northeast region. His leadership extends to being President of the Sikkim Sport Climbing Association (SSCA) and Principal of the Mountaineering & Adventure Institute of Sikkim (MAIS). During his school years, he was the School Chief Prefect and ASSA President in 1999-2000.
